Who We Are
The PCDH19 Alliance was started by parents of children affected by PCDH19 Epilepsy in an effort to support ongoing research into this debilitating disorder.
Our mission
Improving the lives of children and families affected by PCDH19 Epilepsy
The Alliance focuses on raising and directing funds to scientific research with the goal of finding better, more effective treatments and, ultimately, a cure; providing information and support to affected families; and assisting the efforts of the medical community, so that no family suffers without a diagnosis and the most appropriate medical treatment.
How We Help
Research
Our goal is to find therapeutic treatments and ultimately – a cure. The PCDH19 Alliance is dedicated to vetting and supporting the most promising research. We fund ongoing research into the PCDH19 gene and potential treatments, and every day we move closer to fulfilling our mission to find a cure.
Awareness
We bring together the PCDH19 community to amplify the voices of those affected. Through conferences, events, fundraisers, partnerships, and outreach, we promote early diagnosis, increase understanding, and work toward effective care and a cure.
Support
We provide personal support through connection, financial assistance, educational resources, one-on-one guidance, and community events. Whether a family is newly diagnosed or further along in their journey, the Alliance is here to ensure they never feel alone.
